Help with Vacancy Searching


 

The Search Engine uses a boolean search that supports the following operators:

Windows AND London Returns all the jobs containing both the words Windows and London.


OR

Windows OR London Returns all jobs with Windows skills and all jobs within London.


NOT

Windows AND NOT NT Returns all the Windows jobs which don't contain the word NT.


( ) (brackets)

(Windows OR Unix) and (London OR Glasgow) Returns all the Windows or Unix jobs in either London or Glasgow.


"" (Quotes)

"Visual Basic" AND London Skills that contain more than one word must be placed in quotes.


* (Wildcard)

Consult* The search engine also support the use of wildcards. Wildcards can only be used at the end of words.

"SQL Server" AND "Windows NT" AND (Essex AND NOT Colchester)


"Web Designer" AND (Photoshop or Illustrator) AND HTML AND London AND NOT ASP


"Microfocus Cobol" AND Bank* AND (UK OR Australia)

As well as its specified location, each vacancy is also classified as being within one or more of the following locations:

London
South-East (including London)
South-West
East-Anglia
South (includes all of the above)

England (includes all of the above)

UK (UK & Ireland - includes all of the above)
Europe (excludes UK & Ireland)
Overseas (Worldwide, includes Europe, excludes UK & Ireland)
